Isidingo's 'Papa G', Darlington Michaels dies

JOHANNESBURG - Johannesburg-based actor Darlington Michaels has died.
The SABC confirmed the 54-year-old's death on its X account.
It's understood the former Isidingo star was recently admitted to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital with breathing problems.
Since 1998, Michaels portrayed the role of a flamboyant gangster Georgie “Papa G” Zamdela in the cancelled SABC3 soap opera.
He also appeared in Netflix’s popular comedy drama, How to Ruin Christmas: The Funeral as a Man in the Airplane.
The SABC is deeply saddened by the passing of the legendary Darlington Michaels.
