Huawei launches triple-folding smartphone with R50k price tag

Hot after Apple unveiled its iPhone 16 range, Huawei has upped the ante.
The Chinese tech giant has launched its triple-folding smartphone, the Mate XT.
Users can fold the device three ways like an accordion screen door.
It promises a 10-inch tablet in a pocket with a price tag of ¥19,999 (R50,256).

The Mate XT goes on sale on 20 September, the same day as Apple’s iPhone 16.
Huawei says it has already received four million pre-orders.
