Correctional Services Dept confirms parole date for Najwa Petersen
The 63-year-old woman began serving a 28-year sentence on 11 February 2009, for murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.

CAPE TOWN - The Department of Correctional Services has confirmed that husband killer, Najwa Petersen, has been granted a parole placement date of 27 November.
She appeared before the Correctional Supervision and Parole Board on Wednesday.
The 63-year-old woman began serving a 28-year sentence in February 2009, for murder and robbery with aggravating circumstances.
Petersen was the mastermind behind the murder of her husband, Cape Town music legend, Taliep Petersen in December 2006.
The department's Singabakho Nxumalo: "She participated in various rehabilitation programmes and will now be enrolled in pre-release programmes to prepare her for reintegration into society. Upon release, Najwa Petersen will serve the remainder of her sentence under the System of Community Corrections, monitored according to parole conditions."
