A new series based on the Harry Potter books is in the works and there's a casting call for kids living in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
HBO started its search for actors to fill the iconic roles of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger.
To be eligible for the roles of Harry, Ron or Hermione, children must be between the ages of nine and 11 in April 2025 and be residents of the UK or Ireland.
The casting call also says it is 'committed to inclusive, diverse casting'.
Friedman suggests if you have family in the UK, let them know about this one.
For those who wish to apply, they must send two audition self-tapes.
The first video must be a short poem or story (though nothing from Harry Potter) while they must introduce themselves in the second one.
It also asks for children to use their real accents.
There is no release date yet, but the call notes that it is expected to film in the UK from 2025 to 2026.
Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod, who worked on the series 'Succession', will serve as writer and director respectively.
It's also expected that there will be seven series of the show, each season adapting one of the Harry Potter books by JK Rowling.
There have been no updates on whether the original Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) or Hermione (Emma Watson) will make cameos in the new series, although it is unlikely.
