Super sub Mbatha gives Bafana last-gasp win over South Sudan in AFCON qualifier
The win takes South Africa into second place behind Uganda on four points after two games.

JOHANNESBURG - Thalenthe Mbatha scored a late winner as South Africa picked up a 3-2 victory against South Sudan in their Group K 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Juba National Stadium on Tuesday.
The win takes South Africa into second place behind Uganda on four points after two games.
South Sudan took an early lead in the 15th minute through a Tito Okello penalty but the visitors drew level two minutes later through Oswin Apollis.
Apollis then put Bafana Bafana into the lead just before the break.
The home side drew level just before the hour mark as Valentino Yuel found the back of the net in the 57th minute.
Mbatha, who came on as a substitute, scored in the 95th minute to give the visitors all three points.
South Africa host Congo in their next qualifier on 7 October.
