Concerned South Africans immediately rallied behind London to raise funds to aid his recovery.
A Backabuddy crowdfunding camping was created and over R50,000 was raised by Tuesday (10 September).
In his latest update posted to his Facebook page, London says he has since been moved to the Morningside Clinic after receiving numerous donations.
Fundraising however continues as London received news that he urgently needed an operation to drain fluid from his lungs, a procedure that could save his life.
