JOHANNESBURG - The National Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) on Tuesday is set to deliver a ruling on the application of former Enterprise Outsourcing Holdings (EOH) boss Jehan Mackay to have his corruption charges dropped.
Mackay is accused alongside former African National Congress (ANC) national spokesperson Zizi Kodwa.
It is alleged that between 2014 and 2016, Mackay paid Kodwa R1.7 million in kickbacks. In exchange, Kodwa used his influence in the governing party to direct State tenders to EOH.

The pair is expected to appear at the Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crimes Court.
Mackay believes the State’s case is weak and does not have enough merit to move to trial.
Mackay’s application to have the charges dropped has already been rejected by the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court unit.
Meanwhile, the State and Kodwa’s legal team said they are ready to move to trial.
During the last appearance, Kodwa’s legal representative, Zola Majavu, said the delays in the case were negatively affecting his client’s political career.
Majavu said they would consider their options if Mackay’s legal team continues delaying the case.
