However, recently, ActionSA has been reviewing its participation in the coalition after striking up a relationship with the African National Congress (ANC).
ActionSA's Tshwane spokesperson, Tshepiso Modiba, said the party’s highest decision-making body, the senate, will meet this week.

ActionSA, with its 19 councillors, will have a deciding role on the motion of no confidence in Tshwane Mayor Cilliers Brink when it comes to a vote later in September.
DA caucus leader in Tshwane and Finance MMC Jacqui Uys said ActionSA would undo all the improvements the coalition has made if it votes to remove Brink.
“Earlier this year in January, our [revenue] collections were only R2.8 billion a month, and now it has increased to R3.6 billion a month, so we are now seeing the results of what has been put in place.
“However, it is still a very fragile state, so should we sit with any political instability, whatever progress has been made can be broken completely.”
