KZN construction mafia: Case against 5 alleged extortionists postponed

DURBAN - The case of five alleged construction mafias linked to the disruption and disturbance at one of the construction sites in KwaZulu-Natal has been postponed to next week.
The five accused extortionists returned to the Camperdown Magistrates Court on Wednesday to apply for bail.

However, the matter was postponed due to a power outage at the courthouse.
"The case was remanded to the 9th of September 2024, for a bail application. the accused are charged with extortion," said KZN National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Natasha Ramkisson.
