The job market on land can be tricky, but with the International Hotel School, you can find opportunities at sea.

A cruise ship career can give people an opportunity to gain work experience while earning very well.

On a cruise ship, you usually start with a six-month contract, earning around R36 000 a month.

You live on the ship, with your food, laundry and accommodation covered.

You must be at least 21 and pass a medical exam.

Lambert says these cruise liners are floating cities and need all types of employees.

The hotel school offers specialised training, especially in the culinary space, to prepare students for the specific needs of a cruise liner.
