JOHANNESBURG – As the country ushers in spring, warm and sunny conditions can be expected across South Africa.
Over the weekend, various parts of the country saw gloomy, cold and rainy weather conditions after a week of near blistering heat.
Temperatures will hover around the mid-20s, and not much rain is expected in Gauteng yet.
Meanwhile, the South African Weather Service issued another warning for extremely high fire danger conditions in parts of the Northern Cape and northern parts of the Central Karoo District Municipality in the Western Cape for Monday.
Forecaster Puseletso Mofokeng: “From this Monday through to the next Saturday, we can expect largely clear conditions, and it will be warm during the time. Apart from that, some light rain can be expected along the south coast on Wednesday, that is the Western and Eastern Cape. This will spread to KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday, remaining there on Friday.”
