Primedia Studios is Primedia's television content creation and distribution arm.
Some of its shows include MasterChef SA, The Masked Singer, and Deal or No Deal.

Du Plessis says creating Primedia Studios was a natural next step for the company.
He says he is excited to bring more than 30 years of experience to create this.
For now, Primedia Studios is focusing on creating local versions of international shows like MasterChef, that are up to international standards.
However, the long-term goal is to create local scripted content including drama series, movies, and documentaries.

At least two episodes of a scripted series are expected to be on air by the end of this financial year in June.
