Agriculture Minister John Steenhuisen - the leader of the DA - recently appointed controversial podcaster Roman Cabanac as his chief of staff.
Cabanac stands accused of posting divisive, race-baiting and homophobic content.

Steenhuisen reportedly appointed him because of his legal background and 'eye for detail'.
The ANC has urged Steenhuisen to distance himself from the ‘inflammatory racial remarks’ made by his chief of staff and respect the provisions for appointing staff to political offices.
Crouse says he cannot understand why Steenhuisen would appoint this person as his chief of staff.
He says Cabanac’s unconstitutional and offensive comments throughout his career show exactly what you can expect from him.
