'I’m not looking forward to going back to South Africa' - Chidimma Adetshina
Chidimma Adetshina says she used to cry herself to sleep amid the controversy over her eligibility for Miss South Africa.

Former Miss South Africa contestant Chidimma Adetshina says she’s not in a hurry to return to Mzansi as she is enjoying her time in Nigeria.
She is currently competing in the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant.
In an interview with Cool FM Nigeria, Adetshina says the journey thus far has been 'amazing'.
“I’m not even looking forward to going back [to South Africa]. I just want to explore more. I want to stay longer and see what happens next.”
Adetshina was forced to withdraw from the Miss SA pageant after Home Affairs found prima facie evidence that her mother may have committed identity fraud during her birth.

She described her Miss SA journey as 'long' and 'hard'.
“There were times when I’d literally cry myself to sleep and just wonder, ‘Why me?’ I wanted to end it. But then sometimes when difficult moments like this happen, you always need to look at the positive side of things as well.”
She says that she has always dreamt of being Miss Universe and sees the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant as her pathway to the crown.
“My aspiration is to be happy right now. I think for me, it’s just to be so happy and to just conquer.”
