CAPE TOWN - Icy, cold conditions are expected throughout the day in the Western Cape on Wednesday as inclement weather continues to batter the province.
On Tuesday, heavy rain and strong gale force winds wreaked havoc in Cape Town, causing flooding and damage to property and infrastructure.
SA Weather Service forecaster, Stella Nake, said that temperatures would continue to plummet on Wednesday, with snow expected in some areas.
"In Cape Town, we are expecting a minimum of only eight, with a maximum of 12 degrees and for the interior stations, such as Ceres, we expect a minimum of two degrees, with a maximum of only five degrees, so it is going to be a very cold day."
