JOHANNESBURG - MK Party leader Jacob Zuma has described the organisation's new appointee, Floyd Shivambu, as an honest, calculating and clear politician.
The former president unveiled Shivambu as the party's national organiser during a media briefing in Sandton on Thursday.
Shivambu's rise to the MK Party's leadership structure follows his decision to withdraw from the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) last week.

Former President Jacob Zuma said he was always been fond of Shivambu's capabilities as a politician, insisting he saw his potential during his days in the African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL).
He said that Shivambu's calculating and strategic approach to decision-making were among the reasons he believes he'll be an asset to the MK Party.
"He is a real politician. There is politics which I define as scientific politics - he takes decision at the right time, for good reasons."
With Shivambu being the MK Party's national organiser, he has been entrusted to polish its policy position and grow its footprint in communities.
Zuma said that Shivambu's ideological beliefs were clear, suggesting he'd found a home in the MK Party.
