Late actress Connie Chiume takes final bow in Netflix drama ‘Blood Legacy’

The late veteran actress and filmmaker Connie Chiume takes up her final role in Netflix’s new local drama series, Blood Legacy.
Premiering on 20 September, the show tells the story about Spear Industries CEO who is found dead in the sugarcane fields of KwaZulu-Natal.
The death sparks a fierce battle among the family for control of the multi-billion-rand company.
Chiume plays the matriarch of the family.
“In one of her final acting appearances, the incomparable Connie Chiume delivers a powerful performance as the family matriarch,” said Netflix.
She stars alongside Sello Maake KaNcube, Xolile Tshabalala, Pallance Dladla, Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa, and Tarina Patel.
The show is produced by Gambit Film, which brought viewers Blood & Water, Unseen, and many others.
The South African movie industry continues to mourn Chiume’s untimely passing.
She passed away at the age of 72 after suffering from a short illness.
