JOHANNESBURG - The sentencing of convicted rapist and serial killer, Sifiso Mkhwanazi, has been postponed again in the Johannesburg High Court after his lawyer fell ill.
The 21-year-old was found guilty of the murder and rape of six sex workers at his father’s panel beating shop between April and October of 2022.
The court ordered Mkhwanazi to undergo psychiatric evaluation at the Sterkfontein Hospital where doctors found he showed no remorse for his murder spree.
High Court Judge Caseem Moosa has now postponed the matter until Wednesday next week.
"He has responded back to the High Court in Johannesburg, to Wednesday 28th of August 2024 at 09:30 as the matter shall be heard for pre-sentencing. You are in custody, and you shall remain in custody."
