JOHANNESBURG - The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) in KwaZulu-Natal has placed its youth brigade national chairperson, Sanele Zondo, on special leave with immediate effect amid allegations of gender-based violence (GBV).
During an Instagram live on Wednesday, Simenyiwe Dlomo-Zondo shared disturbing details about the alleged emotional and physical abuse she suffered in her marital home.
This after social media posts were circulated regarding her whereabouts as she was last seen last week Friday.
Earlier this week, Zondo reported his 28-year-old wife missing but she has since been found alive and is safe at an undisclosed location.
The IFP in the province said Zondo's suspension was in line with its commitment in supporting the fight against GBV, adding that they would allow the law to take its course.
