2 murder, kidnapping-accused suspects appear in WC Magistrates Court

CAPE TOWN - Two suspects are appearing in the Wynberg Magistrates Court on Wednesday, in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a Lavender Hill woman.
Police said the 57-year-old victim was kidnapped by a group of masked men last month.
Her body was discovered earlier this week.
The Police's Malcolm Pojie said four masked men kidnapped the 57-year-old woman from her St Montagu Village home at gunpoint on the night of the 10th of July.
The kidnapping happened during a power outage.
Pojie said information led police to a 23-year-old man, who was arrested this past Sunday and appeared in court on Tuesday.
"Further investigation led to the arrest of a 49-year-old suspect who was apprehended on Monday the 19th.
“This arrest ultimately led to the discovery of the body of the kidnapped woman, recovered from a sand grave in a deserted area behind the municipal landfill site in Muizenberg on the same day."
Pojie says the victim had suffered multiple stab wounds.
