JOHANNESBURG - ActionSA has called for urgent police intervention in schools amid escalating school safety concerns.
This follows an incident where armed assailants entered the Willow Crescent Secondary School in Eldorado Park, opening fire and leaving educators and learners traumatised.
On the same day, a pupil was stabbed at Lancea Vale Secondary School.
The party is urging the South African Police Service (SAPS) to deploy additional resources to ensure the safety of learners across schools in Eldorado Park.
Spokesperson Dereleen James: "This latest incident has sent shockwaves through a community already ravaged by violence."
