Mia Le Roux overwhelmed by response to her Miss SA crowning
Miss SA Mia Le Roux spills the tea on her journey ahead, and what she’ll do with the R1 million prize money.

The response to her crowning has been phenomenal, so much so that it took the 29-year-old by surprise.
“The images and videos of people celebrating that they feel seen and heard… I started crying because I did that and to me, that is so profound that I gave someone that joy and hope.”

With her title, she hopes to create a more inclusive society for people who have previously felt excluded, from spatial exclusion to financial and societal exclusion.

As for what she will be spending her R1-million prize money on… a furry friend.
“I want to get myself a dog that is medically trained, if someone knocks on the door the dog will let me know or it will alert me of something that is happening. It gives that sense of security.”
