Thabo Shole-Mashao speaks to SA National Parks Spokesperson JP Louw.
A motorist driving a white Toyota Land Cruiser was caught on camera attempting to push through the traffic at the Kruger National Park.
Vehicles were parked as bystanders observed a pride of lions on H1-4 between Satara and Olifants Camp on Friday, 9 August.
Unacceptable!@SANParks Could you please check the registration of the vehicle and find the driver that bumped the lion on purpose because he was in a hurry and take proper steps to deal with them.Thank you @CWitvrouwen🙏🏿.Via Safraan Sulliman pic.twitter.com/pdO0INb1mI

The park’s security guards picked up the driver’s registration plate with its surveillance cameras.
An investigation was initiated and the driver will be fined.
While the lioness was not harmed, Louw says people must understand they are not invisible when in the park.
“The management of the park is about taking pride in our natural and cultural heritage as partners… Please respect the fauna, the flora, and the animals.”
- JP Louw, Spokesperson - SA National Parks
