Plans in place to mitigate potential challenges of Gauteng pupil placements in 2025 - Chiloane

JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng Education MEC Matome Chiloane said that contingency plans were in place to mitigate challenges that may arise from the placement of pupils in 2025.
Chiloane briefed the media on Sunday about the progress made in the 2025 online admissions process for grades 1 and 8 in the province.

Chiloane revealed that despite the hiccup experienced by the system last week, the department hasdreceived over 760,000 applications.
"We’ll also provide scholar transport in such instances. We are looking at different communities because development moves. There’s a lot of movement within our province. New townships are established and as and when those communities, we try our level best to ensure that their children get to schools."
