The furore over Miss SA finalist Chidimma Adetshina's citizenship has been hitting news headlines both locally and internationally.

Adetshina on Thursday announced her exit from the pageant amid calls for her withdrawal from some quarters.

'Your journey in the world of pageantry is far from over' said national director Guy Murray-Bruce.

"As a Nigerian by heritage, we would we would like to formally invite you to participate in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant. This is an opportunity to represent your father's native land on an international stage and believe you would be an outstanding contender."
