Police not ruling out arresting more people in foiled Khayelitsha cash-in-transit heist - Patekile

CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Police Commissioner Thembisile Patekile said they're not ruling out the possibility of more arrests in connection with foiled plans for a cash-in-transit heist in Khayelitsha.
A group of 13 heavily armed men was allegedly planning to rob a cash van in Town Two on Monday.
However, police clamped down on the suspects, leading to a shootout where 8 of the alleged criminals died.

Five others have been arrested and will appear in court on Thursday.
Patekile said four of the five surviving suspects are from the Western Cape, and the other is from Gauteng
"There may have been 20 or more, we don't know, but what we found is this 13. If there are any that we could not find, then we ask the community to assist us.
"We also wouldn't rule out that there were many, but the 13 we have, and with the 13 guns we have, it says each one of them had a role to play."
