Golden Arrow bus service teams up with Eskom to power electric buses
Golden Arrow and Eskom signed up a historic memorandum of co-operation on Tuesday, for among other things, Eskom is the largest electricity generator and distributor.

CAPE TOWN - Golden Arrow and Eskom are teaming up to power a fleet of electric buses.
In July, the bus service announced the of purchase of 120 electric buses to replace 10% of its fleet by the end of 2025.
Golden Arrow and Eskom signed up a historic memorandum of co-operation on Tuesday, for among other things, Eskom is the largest electricity generator and distributor.
Golden Arrow's Bronwen Dyke-Beyer said they were also looking at procuring electricity from independent, renewable power producers.
"The memorandum of co-operation between Eskom and Golden Arrow formalises our commitment to working together to provide a public bus service which is safe, reliable, and cost effective, as well as advancing Eskom's sustainability goals and electric vehicle strategy."
