Game of Thrones fans, just because the second season of House of the Dragon finished, does not mean the fun stops there.

HBO confirmed another spin-off series is on its way.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has begun filming in Ireland and is expected to be released next year.

The television network debuted the first footage from the spin-off this week.

“Plenty of fans excited out there. I’ve got a friend that says I’ve got to stop slandering ‘Game of Thrones’ because they are eating up all this content."

The preview clip was part of a longer trailer showcasing HBO’s upcoming releases, including The Last of Us season 2, It spin-off Welcome to Derry, and The White Lotus season 3.

The preview featured shots of Dunk (played by Peter Claffey) in his armour, wielding a sword and punching someone in the face.

A young Egg (played by Dexter Sol Ansell) sits by the fire.

The show’s summary reads:

“A century before the events of 'Game of Thrones', two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.”

Joining the cast are Finn Bennet (True Detective: Night Country), Bertie Cervel (The Crown), Tanzyn Crawford (Tiny Beautiful Things), Daniel Ings (Sex Education), and Sam Spruell (Fargo)
