CAPE TOWN - The South African Weather Service (SAWS) warns of a day filled with disruptive and inclement weather across parts of the country in the run-up to an intense cold front set to make landfall on Monday.

The yellow level 2 warnings include damaging winds across parts of the Western Cape, Northern Cape, and Eastern Cape into Free State and KwaZulu-Natal.

Disruptive rain is also on the cards for the West Coast, City of Cape Town, and Overberg municipalities, which could lead to localised flooding of roads and settlements.

According to the weather service, these warnings come ahead of a cold front set to hit the south-western part of the country on Monday, bringing with it strong to gale-force winds and light snowfall.
