Ramaphosa set to officiate, sign men's pledge against GBV - Minister Chikunga
Launching the government's Women's Day campaign on Thursday, Minister in the Presidency Sindisiwe Chikunga announced several events lined up to commemorate Women’s Month including a men’s march against the scourge of GBV.

JOHANNESBURG - Minister in the Presidency for Women, Sindisiwe Chikunga, says President Cyril Ramaphosa will officiate and sign the men’s pledge against gender-based violence (GBV) this month.
On Thursday, Chikunga launched the government’s Women’s Day campaign under the theme "Celebrating 30 years of Freedom towards Women’s Development".
She announced several events lined up to commemorate Women’s Month, including a men’s march against the scourge of GBV.
"We will also have a Men’s March against gender-based violence in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, which will be led by Isilo SamaBandla, King MisuZulu and the deputy president, Paul Mashatile. We will also launch the first-ever Report on the Prevalence of GBVF [Gender-Based Violence and Femicide] in South Africa."
