Pupils protested at the school on Mandela Day and more claims have since surfaced, including that white pupils have been receiving preferential treatment and that the school is applying rules selectively.
“Gauteng Education MEC Matome Chiloane will today visit Pretoria High School for Girls following instances of suspected racism that resulted in the suspension of about 12 learners. The MEC will interact with the school management team and the SGB [school governing body],” said Gauteng education department spokesperson Steve Mabona.
