TSHWANE - Tshwane residents are expected to start the new week without water, as taps in parts of the capital city continue to run dry.
Residents have been without water since Friday because of a maintenance project by Rand Water.
The water utility will not pump any water at the Mapleton system, which supplies 36 of the city’s reservoirs and bulk meters.
“Roaming water tankers have been dispatched to the affected customers and will operate from 7am until 10pm for the duration of the service interruption,” said municipal spokesperson Lindela Mashigo.
“Provision is being made to service the affected customers. The city will continue to dispatch more water tankers to other areas as and when they experience a water supply interruption.”
