PRETORIA - Thousands of people are expected to grace the streets of Tshwane for 702’s Walk the Talk on Sunday.
Participants will begin the walk from the Freedom Park Heritage Site to the Union Buildings.
Traffic is heavily backed up in the capital city as thousands of people participate in the 702 Walk the Talk in the inner city of Pretoria.
A group of friends told Eyewitness News that they’re not only walking for fun, but they’re walking to support the fight against gender-based violence (GBV).
"We’re walking against GBV, and we are also walking for mental health because July was [Mental Health Awareness Month], and we want to walk against the stigma [associated with] mental health."
Meanwhile, some are walking for different causes.
"We are from the Tshwane University of Technology. I am here with my colleagues, and we are representing the university’s Department of Industrial Engineering."
