CoCT says over 16k flood kits delivered to areas affected by recent severe weather
The city is preparing for more heavy rain this Saturday.

CAPE TOWN - As another storm makes its way to Cape Town this weekend, the municipality said its relief efforts have seen more than 16,000 flood kits delivered to areas affected by the recent severe weather.
The City of Cape Town said more than 37 areas across the metro have been impacted by the recent storms that hit the province.

Mayco Member for Human Settlements Carl Pophaim said flood kits had been delivered to informal settlements, especially where water seeped through roofs.
"Unfortunately, the rains continue, but we are on the ground, conducting our assessments and helping those in need. We have been able to help where we can with kits, comprising plastic sheeting and nails, and relocations where it is needed."
Pophaim said the city is preparing for more heavy rain on Saturday.
"With even more expected over the weekend, our teams are on standby. We are committed to serving you and building Cape Town together."
