'My term will be a failure if I don't bring F1 to SA' – Gayton McKenzie

Sports, Arts, and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie has expressed his determination to revive Formula One racing in South Africa.
The leader of the Patriotic Alliance says that he has initiated discussions with key stakeholders, emphasising that his tenure would be incomplete without bringing one of the world's premier sporting events to South Africa.
McKenzie revealed that the first meeting is scheduled for the end of August in Monaco.

Speculation about Formula One's return to South Africa at the iconic Kyalami racetrack in Johannesburg peaked last June.
However, reports suggested that the plan was shelved due to the South African government's diplomatic relations with Russia at the time.
