CAPE TOWN - The case against a Cape Town man charged with killing his pregnant wife resumes in the Athlone Magistrate's Court on Monday.

Clint Martin was arrested after the mother of three was found dead inside her home last month.

The matter is on the roll on Monday for a bail application.

Roslin Martin's body was found by relatives inside her Wendy house in Heideveld late last month.

An anti-GBV organisation said that her throat was slit and her stomach was cut and several limbs were broken.

The Callas Foundation is calling for Martin's alleged killer to be denied bail.

The foundation's Caroline Peters believes the accused's release on bail could endanger the community and embolden other perpetrators of gender-based violence.

She said that Martin's family, especially her young children, were vulnerable and required the assurance that justice would be served.
