CAPE TOWN - The City of Cape Town has put forward a R20,000 reward for anyone with information that can lead to the suspects who attacked officers in Hanover Park.
On Friday, law enforcement officers were pelted with stones while responding to an incident in the area, leaving an officer injured.
The officers were conducting a raid after hearing several gunshots coming from the township through the ShotSpotter technology, which can detect a gunshot location from a distance.

The metro has warned the community will suffer when officers are attacked on duty.
"Please, if you know anything, let us have that information,” said the city's Safety and Security MMC, JP Smith.
“The tip-off number is 0800 110 077, and you can give the information confidentially and safely."
The attack comes after Deputy Police Commissioner Tebello Mosikili encouraged officers to clamp down on criminals and flush out gangs in the Cape Flats.
