Police arrest suspect linked to murder of DWS official Sello Machitje

JOHANNESBURG - Police have arrested a suspect believed to be linked to the murder of Water and Sanitation Department official, Sello Machitje.

Machitje, who was the department's deputy director, was hijacked last Thursday around the Vaal area and kidnapped.
 
According to reports, the suspect was detained after Machitje's car was found in his possession in Alexandra, north of Johannesburg.
 
The police said that an investigation was underway to determine whether the suspect was linked to Machitje's death.
