The different political in the Government of National Unity (GNU) all agree that voters want them to work together.
Their mission now is to balance their long-standing ideologies with their need for collaboration.
Minister in the Presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni said the outcomes agreed upon at the Cabinet lekgotla would trickle down to all provincial and local governments.
"There’s no DA [Democratic Alliance] minister, there’s no ANC [African National Congress] minister, there’s a minister of government and that’s what's important. As you deal with the issues today [Saturday], that’s what we are consolidating so that we have a single view and a single programme of action that is agreed by all."
Ntshavheni said the outcomes of the lekgotla would be communicated by the President during the opening of Parliament next Thursday.
“There is no DA minister, there is no ANC minister, there is a minister of government,” said Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, Minister in the Presidency.
