Cape Town residents warned of waste collection delays due to bad weather
Though waste collection operations have been affected by several roads being closed due to flooding, the municipality has assured residents that work continues despite the challenges.

CAPE TOWN - Cape Town residents have been warned of delays to waste collection due to bad weather.
With several roads closed due to flooding, waste collection operations have been affected.

The municipality has, however, assured residents that work continues despite the challenges.
The City of Cape Town said its waste disposal facilities have not been spared storm damage.
In the meantime, the metro advises residents to keep putting their bins out until they are collected.
City officials have assured locals that waste pickups will not be delayed for more than one day.
In neighbourhoods like Manenberg and the boundaries of Old Lansdowne and Klipfontein Road, ongoing gang violence has made the area inaccessible to city staffers.
