Mapisa-Nqakula set to be formally indicted for alleged money laundering, solicitation
On Tuesday, the State is to expected to formally serve Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula with an indictment.

JOHANNESBURG - Former Speaker of Parliament Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula is set to formally be indicted for alleged money laundering and solicitation on Tuesday.
Mapisa-Nqakula is charged with 12 counts of corruption and one of money laundering.
The charges relate to her time as Defence Minister when she allegedly solicited and received kickbacks amounting to R4.5 million from a defence contractor.
On Tuesday, the State is expected to formally serve Mapisa-Nqakula with an indictment.
The indictment will have the charges Mapisa-Nqakula is facing, a summary of events and a list of State witnesses.
A date for her first high court appearance is also expected to be finalised on Tuesday.
Mapisa-Nqakula has maintained her innocence throughout the case.
As we mark nine days since the formation of a new government, Mapisa-Nqakula is neither a minister nor a member of Parliament.
This is the first time since 1994 that she doesn't feature in government.
