CAPE TOWN - Lwandle township near Strand has once again been one of the worst hit areas by the inclement weather in Cape Town.
Flooding has also been reported in areas such as Mfuleni, Du Noon, Philippi and Mitchells Plain.
In Lwandle, at least 500 homes were flooded.
Residents of Ezinkomeni informal settlement in Lwandle have had to contend with Kneehigh water levels, following torrential rains that have battered Cape Town since Sunday.
Eyewitness News spoke to 32-year-old resident Kgotso Snymes, who is frustrated about their situation.
"We're very angry according to the conditions of the weather where we're living. There's a lot of water here we can't even walk around. If you get inside the house, when you wake up from the bed you must have steps to walk out so that you can't get flu."
The City of Cape Town said that assessments of affected areas continue with flood kits provided where needed.
