There's a call for donations to help those who are in need of food, blankets and other essential basic items.
The City of Cape Town has asked that residents who wish to donate must do so directly to humanitarian organisations such as Gift of the Givers and other non-governmental organisations.
However, the following fire stations have also been made available to drop off donations: Sir Lowry's Pass, Strand, Goodwood, Ottery, Roeland Street and Lakeside.
The municipality requests that donations be non-perishable food items, personal hygiene items, nappies, baby formula, blankets and building material.
The city said its disaster management teams remain on standby to address the impact of the bad weather.
