On Sunday, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the disbandment of the Public Enterprises Ministry.
After 97 days of no load shedding, Nyati said he expects Eskom’s performance to continue strengthening under Minister of Electricity Kgosientso Ramokgopa's leadership.
“We believe if that is the case, there is going to be a seamless transition because this is somebody we have worked with for a very long time - the whole of last year - and he gets what we are doing, and he has been quite supportive. So has DPE [Department of Public Enterprises], by the way, we have worked very well with them.”
