JOHANNESBURG - The Democratic Alliance (DA) said it was shocked by the size of the executive announced by Cyril Ramaphosa for the seventh administration.
Six ministers in Ramaphosa's Cabinet are from the DA and they have been given the same number of deputies.

This has resulted in a further bloated Cabinet, as some departments have been split to accommodate the Government of National Unity.
The DA's federal chair, Helen Zille, said they are not to blame for the expanded executive.
"We had no idea before the announcement how big the Cabinet would be. In fact, we were expecting it to reduce in size. So, of course, now we have much, much less than our fair proportion of the seats."
