JOHANNESBURG - The African National Congress (ANC) has set 17 July for the disciplinary hearing of its suspended former president, Jacob Zuma.

Zuma was suspended from the party in January after he announced he would be voting and campaigning for the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party.

His disciplinary hearing was initially scheduled to take place in May, however, the ANC postponed it due to security reasons.

ANC interim spokesperson, Zuko Godlimpi, said the hearing would take place virtually.

"It's a mutual agreement between the DC people and the person appearing."
