WATCH: Yes, klapping is a 'sport'! Meet SA's Power Slap fighter, Danie van Heerden

The Kfm Mornings team spoke to Power Slap fighter Danie van Heerden ahead of his title fight for the World Super Heavyweight championship.

'Americans call it power slapping and South Africans - we know what we call it,' says professional Power Slapper, Danie van Heerden.

Yes! Getting paid to slap people is a sport... in Las Vegas where it's licenced and sanctioned.

Slapping or 'Power Slap Fighting' goes as far as heavyweight championship levels and of course, Mzansi is proudly represented by Danie van Heerden (37) from Pretoria.

'The Pitbull' comes from a family of fighters as Danie's brother is famed South African professional boxer and a former IBO welterweight champion, Chris 'The Heat' van Heerden.

Danie goes by his stage name: Danie 'The Pitbull' and participates in klapping matches all around the world.

Danie is trained in Muay Thai and as a professional MMA fighter with 17 wins and 8 loses - not counting the fact that he's also built to 'give a snot klap' as most South Africans are.

Danie says, for him, there's only one rule: don't flinch.

Here he is... taking one for the title.

Yes, there is money is slapping...

"I've been doing this for about two years. I've never injured myself once, my cheek only got swollen once and I've only had eight slaps to the face... I've made more money in this in my whole 11 years doing combat sports in South Africa."
- Danie van Heerden, Power Slap fighter

How does the Pitbull train? Does he have a 'snot klap coach'?

"If I'm going to tell you, I'm going to have to kill you... 50% of the fight is aiming... there's not much training involved in it... you need mobility and movement."
- Danie van Heerden, Power Slap fighter
