JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng premier, Panyaza Lesufi has given coalition negotiators until Wednesday to finalise their discussions.

On Sunday, the Gauteng government had to postpone the announcement of the Cabinet at the last minute due to negotiators requesting more time.

Lesufi said these were complex discussions as it was the first time the Gauteng government was not under a majority party.

"We are impatient to ensure we conclude this work as early as possible. We can’t have government not functioning beyond Wednesday. I really believe we should find something before Wednesday and conclude this matter."
