WATCH: Gordon Ramsay's cycling accident leaves him 'looking like a purple potato'

Gordon Ramsay is going through a rough time. 

The famous chef took to social media to share that he had 'a really bad accident' while cycling in Connecticut.

In the video, Ramsay lifts his chef's jacket to reveal a bruised torso.

"I'm doing OK and did not break any bones or suffer any major injuries, but I am a bit bruised up looking like a purple potato," said Ramsay. 

After describing the incident, Ramsay shared an important message for anyone who cycles and it can be summarised in three words: WEAR A HELMET.
