JOHANNESBURG - Rand Water says its five-week major infrastructure maintenance project will not result in water cuts for its entire duration.
The maintenance project, which is set to begin on Saturday and run until the end of July, is expected to affect the Eikenhof, Zwartkopjes, Palmiet and Daleside pump stations.
Rand Water's Makenosi Maroo said the City of Johannesburg, Rand West and Mogale City were among the areas which would be affected.
"I really need to emphasise, yes, the project is big but it does not mean people will not have water from 22 June until the 29th [of July]. We are going to be moving project by project, municipality by municipality on different dates."
